(I am now introducing my schoolmates, here you are:)
彈結他的是來自比利時的Thijs。這裡全部人都會陸續離開，只有Taijs例外，因為他報了一年課程，希望一年苦讀能練好阿拉伯語，然後在中東報讀大學。 (Guitar guy Thijs is from Belgium, learnt Arabic for years, hope to get admitted to the U in middle east. He will stay here for a year! Althought he can speak fluent Arabic, he still cannot read Arabic paper.)Taijs在比利時已學了多年阿拉伯語，他能操流利阿拉伯文，但仍未能看懂阿拉伯語報章。Taiz說，其實學中文也不錯，至少可以認識中國文化，但學阿拉伯文沒有意思，因為阿拉伯的文化全是伊斯蘭教，宗教以外所餘無他，但他對伊斯蘭教實在沒有興趣。 (He said Chinese is more than Arabic at least understand Chinese, you can explore Chinese culture. However all Arabic culture is about Islam. He is only interested in Arabic people, not Islam)
旁邊的Neil在英國的中學教數學，學阿拉伯文只是興趣，他曾在亞洲教英語，也在印尼？越南？考獲潛水牌照。 (Thijs' left side is Neil. British. He taught Maths in England highschool.)
Neil旁邊的是美國的Emily。她剛大學畢業，double major政治及中東研究，畢業後就學阿拉伯文，原本一直在敍利亞學，但敍利亞夏天實在太熱，所以轉到也門學，她希望學好阿拉伯文，然後加入Al Jazeera做記者。 (Neil's left side is Emily. Graduated last year majoring in Arabic and politics. She hope to join Al-Jazeera, this is the reason for her to learn Arabic.)
旁邊的Rosa來自德國，剛剛「轉校」過來。也門人對德國人特別友善，也門人會告訴德國人：「Hilter好！Kill Jews！」（若護照有以色列印章，不能入也門國境） (Emily's left side is Rosa. Come from Germany, joined the school last week.)
Rosa旁是Becky，在英國Durham大學讀中東研究。多得Becky在英國推介，這裡不少學生來自Durham。Becky曾在巴勒斯坦的拉姆安拉做intern，研究Israeli Settlement，能操流利阿拉伯文。 (Becky is just like Yemeni, knows everything here. She is from Durham U, Arabic studies and many students here are come from Durham. She had an internship in Ramallah, Palestine in this Spring, help UN to reseach the Israeli settlement)
Becky旁的是Lily、西班牙人。應該是少數能在也門找到姻緣的女士，男朋友來自巴西（已返國），讀完阿拉伯文，他們就會到印度旅行。(Lily is from Spanish. She probably is the only person to fall in love in Yemen. Her boyfriend is a Brazilian and studied Arabic here.)
最左邊的Julie是法國人。Julie有六呎高，金髮碧眼，唔學阿拉伯文、轉做Model都無問題。她在一間商業通訊社做記者，曾駐非洲貝寧及杜拜，對中東文化極有興趣，希望報讀美國哥倫比亞大學研究院，也希望做駐中東記者、及加入半島電視台做記者。 (Julie is the tallest and one of the beautiful lady in school. Just like me, she quit her job before she came to Yemen. She worked for a commercial agency and was a correspondent in Benin, Africa and Dubai. She also want to join Al-Jazeera.)她旁邊是Ivan，是墨西哥裔美國人，在埃及的美國開羅大學讀碩士，專研究卡塔爾政治。我曾一度「聘請」Ivan為我的攝影師，讓他也可以到半島電視台參觀，順便幫我拍攝，可惜該台只准我一人去，無辦法了。 (Julie's right side is Mexico AmericanIvan. He studied Master degree in American Cairo University, his research topic is Qatar. I tried to employ him as my photographer so that he can some with me to Al Jazeera, however it is not allowed.)
他旁邊晃動的影子是Mark。Mark過往已亮相了，中學時在香港讀書，因父親曾助九鐵做工程，他明年二月將會執業做英國律師，展開律師非人生活前，趁這半年的自由，為興趣學阿拉伯文。到也門前，曾與友人由倫敦，一直駕車到塞內加爾的達卡玩。 (The blur image is Mark. He lived in HK for 7 years because his father used to work in HK for KCRC's project. He told me KCRC is quite corrupted! He will be British lawyer from next Feb. So before he start his long working hour "painful" professional career, he took 1/2 year break and study Arabic here. )
Mark旁的是Samira，與她沒有談過話，所以沒法寫了。 (I haven't talked to Samira, so cannot talk about her.)
Samira旁是William，是Becky的同學。我曾拉衫尾，與他父親的也門朋友食好大個餅，Will父親在劍橋教書。來自Durham的同學特別喜歡飲酒，會到一間叫Russian Club的私人會所飲貴酒，也懂得如何在禁酒的也門買酒。（就是到中國人開的餐館！） (William is the classmate of Becky in Durham. His father teaches in Cambridge. The Durham guys and gals like drinking and they know how to get alcohol in Yemen! The answer is going to Chinese restaurant!!!)
William旁的是比利時的Ken。多次與我一同旅遊，能操多國語言（法、英、荷、西班牙、徳及阿拉伯文），所以與他去旅行方便很多，家住安特衛普，幫NGO做新移民教育工作，肯定有機會繼續硑面。 (William's right side is Ken. Can speak French, English, Dutch, Spanish, German and Arabic. I usually traveled with him. He worked for a NGO in Antwerp for helping new immigrants)
Ken旁的是Lauren。Lauren在芝加哥大學讀伊斯蘭研究博士，與Ken是阿拉伯文同班同學，人品好好，成日咒罵電腦室的互聯網好鬼慢！！！ (Lauren studied PHD in Chicago U, not studied Economy, but is Islamic studies. She is nice and always complained the computer in school is so slow with me.)
Lauren旁邊是Laura。美國人，到中東教英文多年，曾在沙特阿拉伯教書，現在駐貝魯特。很熟識中東文化的美國人，到中東教書也是為了拓闊視野，不想留在單一的美國。 (Laura is another middle east expert. She is teaching English in Beirut and taught English in Saudi also. She told me quite a lot about how women live in Saudi)
兩張照片無法影到的，是意大利的Paula及Alisia。兩人都好好，告訴我也門女人真係唔得，與也門女人對比，她們兩人靚得多了。她們在也門已半年了，還會留多三個月，兩人在意大利是同學，修讀中東，兩人都說，來這裡讀阿拉伯文，比在意大利學有效得多了！！！ (Both photo cannot show Paula and Alisia, both come from Italy and studied Arabic in Italy U. They told me the Yemeni women is not good-looking!)
這就是Sial的外國社群。雖然話題未必相同，我的文化背景與他們分別最大，未必人人聽得懂我的廣東腔英文，萍水相逢，可能以後也沒有機會再見了，但今天就是有機會，彈結他、唱唱歌，這就是緣份。
