也門五．Shibam and Kwakaban (也門四 was posted below)

Above photos were taken on last Thursday hiking in Shibam and Kwakaban.(City and Village near Sanaa)

Photo 1: We start from Shibam and starting hiking. Kwakaban city is on the top of that mountain.

Photo2: The scenary of Shibam city. It is an old city and the mosque in Shiban was build more than 100 thousand year.

Photo 3: The road to top is well paved

Photo 4: We arrive to the top, the city wall of Kwakaban town. Kwakaban town is 2600 meters above sea level. Higher than the fifth station of Fuji Mountain(around 2100M).

Photo 5: Most houses in Kwakaban town was destroyed due to the civil war. Whole city is a ruin!

Photo 6: The tea house of Kwakaban town. The view from the tea house is good and can see the views, the town from far far away, the agricutural land...

Photo 8: The Yemeni "Grand Canyon" near Shibam. We walk on the gorge, of course without Sky Walk!
